Testosterone Replacement Therapy Wasco, CA

For most men, getting older is a distant thought; a time when bucket-list items are crossed off the list, financial goals are accomplished, and retirement awaits. But then, one day, we wake up and realize that we're not just getting older - we are older. Workouts in the gym start to cause more aches and pains the next morning. Keeping weight off around the midsection is much harder than it once was. Stretching before an impromptu game of basketball isn't just a good idea - it's necessary for you to perform. And that gets to the crux of what men hate most about aging - the inability to perform as they used to, whether it's in the bedroom or on the basketball court.

Unfortunately, there's no avoiding the inevitable. As men age, their testosterone levels deplete, causing a slew of mid-life maladies like:

  • Depression
  • Fatigue
  • Loss of Energy
  • Lack of Interest in Sex
  • Low Sex Drive
  • Can't Hold an Erection
  • Irritability
  • Weight Gain
  • Muscle Loss
  • Hair Loss
  • Nagging Injuries

WASCO, Calif. (KGET) — From teacher to superintendent, Robert Cobb worked his way up at Wasco Union High School District for more than 20 years and left an impact the community will cherish forever now that he is gone.

At 48, Cobb learned he had pancreatic cancer. He was at the peak of his career and named Wasco Union High School District’s Superintendent after working in the district for more than 20 years.

Then, just days before his 50th birthday in December, Cobb was told he had two weeks to live.

To uplift his spirits, all of Wasco came together by throwing a parade. A reflection of the community Wasco is according to Acting Superintendent Kevin Tallon.

“This community’s one that wraps their arms around those that are in need, and I think that when the community saw Robb or Mr. Cobb and his family in need, they did that,” said Tallon.

Cobb began at Wasco Union High School district as a biology teacher and became one that students and colleagues never forgot.

“Those of us that have been here for 20-plus years remember Mr. Cobb riding around the campus on his skateboard as a biology teacher, he did have long hair, and that was certainly a stage of life. He told me he never thought he’d wear a tie and then of course for many years as an administrator had to wear the tie […] I’ll remember that” said Tallon.

But his love for his family is what Tallon says he will remember most.

“His family was incredibly important to him, he talked a lot about his daughters, his wife Keri, the stages of life they were in. They were his pride and joy and those conversations I’ll miss as well,” said Tallon.

Cobb leaves his wife Keri and three daughters Hannah, Sarah and Grace.

Two are seniors at Wasco Union High School and because it was unclear if Cobb would make it to see his daughters walk the stage, the school brought the stage to him at home before he passed. Cobb got the chance to thank all who loved and supported him during this time. A moment, they will now cherish in his memory.

“I have a peace in my heart and my heart is full and it’s because of you, it’s because of the school community, it’s because of my family, because of our friends, loving us, supporting us, wrapping their arms around us,” said Cobb in January 2023 at the ceremony.

In lieu of donations to the family, the family asks donations be made to the Wasco Community Scholarship Association. You can donate at this link.

POND, Calif. (KERO) — The town of Pond, California, just north of Wasco, continues to deal with the damage and loss of services caused by flooding, including not having access to safe water for basic needs like cooking and bathing. Right now, residents are just trying to salvage what they can.

Pond resident Bilquees Ubadi's home has already been damaged by flooding.

"We have been reaching out to a few officials. We're hoping that the fire department - we're hoping that the county gets involved," said Ubadi. "It should have been stopped, honestly. The first time shouldn't have happened."

Two days after the weekend's heavy rain, the damage to Ubadi's home are extensive. Mud covers the floors and most of her furniture is lost. She says the emotions are overwhelming, but she's grateful for her neighbors.

"The communities came together really well. They are - we have a lot of amazing people that have lived here for a very long time. Everyone here had been here for over 20 years, which is a blessing," said Ubadi.

The community has worked together to help where they can, and Ubadi's sister Sara is one of the many who have stepped up. Posting on her social media account asking for help, Sara Ubadi has started to collect donations for distribution to neighbors in need around her.

"I posted it two days ago, so we're getting a lot of help," said Sara. "A lot of my friends, they've been bringing cases of water - truckloads of water, food, snacks… anything we ask for, they've been bringing it. Cleaning supplies."

Residents in Pond are also dealing with the fact that their drinking water, as well as the water that's safe for bathing, washing dishes and clothes, even using in the toilet, has been deemed contaminated by floodwater and unsafe to use.

Community members say that although they've been doing most of the work themselves, they are grateful for the help their local council representative, Mario Nuñez, has brought.

"Mario Nuñez, he came out yesterday," said Sara Ubadi. "He helped us. He brought us porta-potties. We barely got those yesterday, and we haven't had no restrooms since."

Ubadi also says some members of the community are working on building trenches roughly 3 feet deep as a protective measure against rising water. She says she knows this will not stop future flooding, but hopes it can at least slow the water down next time.

WASCO, Calif. (KGET) — Robert Cobb worked his way up at Wasco Union High School district for more than 20 years, from teacher to superintendent for the last two years.

Around the time Cobb took the lead as superintendent, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. After sharing the news, Wasco came together Friday to celebrate Cobb’s 50th birthday.

Days ago, Cobb was told he had two weeks left to live, and parents, students, fellow educators, and more waited to cheer Cobb on, hoping the parade would uplift his spirits. Laurie Rodriguez, who worked with Cobb as a teacher at Wasco High School in the ’90s, said Cobb is an asset to the community worth celebrating.

“It was important for much of the community to be here today, just to show the love and support. We’re a small town, and everybody knows everybody else and just watching him grow up and becoming the man that he became, I think that’s significant of everyone, I think that everyone sees such good in Mr. Cobb,” Rodriguez said.

Wasco High student Andrew Davila says he has witnessed the good in Cobb as a student and says that all feel his absence.

“He’s a big part here at Wasco, so just seeing him gone kind of felt, made it feel like a little ghost town,” Davila said. “Everyone knew what he was going through and they just all wish for him to recover and continue being who he is here at Wasco.”

The biggest moment of the parade was when Cobb arrived seeing the crowd of people who love and wish him well. Acting superintendent Kevin Tallon, in Cobb’s place, shares that the parade shows the kind of person Cobb is.

“I think that it speaks to the lives that he’s touched over the years and the love and support that he’s shown to others during their times of need,” Tallon said. “He’s been a wonderful person to work with and somebody who a lot of call a colleague but also a friend.”

Tallon says all who showed up for Cobb reflect exactly what Wasco is all about.

“It truly does speak to the community of Wasco. It’s a community that just wraps their arms around anyone that’s in need, anyone that’s hurting, and it does speak to the heart of the community”

A heart of a community that knows the value of celebrating those who are still here while you still can.

WASCO, Calif. (KERO) — An employee of Wasco Union Elementary School District was arrested by Kern County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) deputies following a child molestation investigation.

Jose Solis, 37, of Shafter was arrested on Monday, Jan 30, after a report of a 14-year-old girl being molested by a Wasco Union Elementary School District staff employee was made the day before.

KCSO deputies from the Wasco Substation were called to the 300 block of Griffith Avenue around 7:41 p.m. on Sunday, Jan 29 after receiving the molestation report. Following an investigation, authorities had "probable cause" to believe that Solis was the employee in question and that he "committed the crimes alleged."

An employee with the same name as Solis is listed as a school counselor at Thomas Jefferson Middle School.

Kelly Richers, the Superintendent of Wasco Union Elementary School District, released a statement on the matter.

"Today we were notified by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office that a school counselor at Thomas Jefferson was arrested due to allegations unknown to the district at this time," said Richers. "The Kern County Sheriff’s is leading the investigation into the allegations that initiated the arrest and we are fully cooperating with them. The counselor has been placed on paid administrative leave. Since this a personnel matter, I am unable to share any additional details with you at this time."

Solis was arrested by KCSO deputies for sexual battery, lewd and lascivious acts with a minor, and molesting a child under 18. Solis is scheduled to be in court on Wed, Feb 1.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the KCSO at (661) 861-3110 or the Secret Witness Line at (611) 322-4040.
